Firelight is an Indigenous-owned consultancy providing research and technical support to Indigenous Nations and organizations across Turtle Island in six core areas: Livelihoods (Indigenous Knowledge Research, Socio-Economics), Indigenous-led Assessment, Indigenous Negotiations, Mapping & GIS, Stewardship (Ecology, Planning, Implementation), and Health. Since 2010, Firelight has been trusted to do high quality work that centers Indigenous knowledge and values to protect rights and advance self-determination. Starting as a group of 8 founding partners, Firelight has grown to a diverse, expanding team of over 100 professionals committed to our guiding principles of relationships, accountability, quality, and responsibility. Over the past 15 years, we have worked with over 500 clients on more than 2000 projects, delivering Nation-driven research and technical support that provides timely and effective results.
